HandPies Holiday Ornament - White Quilted & Plaid CARDINAL
A handmade stuffed ornament for your tree, to hang on a doorknob, adorn a package or place anywhere in your decor for a little holiday happiness. This collection has a rustic, sentimental vibe, reminiscent of old-fashioned holidays where handmade decorations are the star of the show. We call them HandPies because they’re poufy and crimped around the edges with a hand-worked blanket stitch…they just look like little handpies :)
The White Quilted & Plaid Cardinal features a base made from a repurposed white quilted coverlet, with a raw-edge applique cardinal of holiday plaid in red, green, white and gold. A running stitch worked by hand in red floss secures the cardinal, and the design is embellished with hand embroidery and sparkly beads, each secured by hand stitching. The cardinal’s eye is a single black jet bead. A red cording loop is attached at the top for hanging. The back of the ornament is the same holiday plaid as the front appliqued cardinal.
