Vintage Westmoreland Jadeite Lovebirds Milk Glass Lidded Dish

$125.00

This is a truly vintage piece, produced in the 1950s by the Westmoreland Glass Company. The bottom dish looks like a basket, and the lid features two lovebirds - one a bit larger than the other. The piece is an oval shape.

Westmoreland produced this pattern in several colors, including opaques in white, pink, a light blue and translucent colors such as cobalt blue, a darker avocado green and amber. This particular opaque green milk glass, known as Jadeite, is relatively rare to find today in this pattern.

The underside of the bottom piece is engraved with the Westmoreland hallmark.

We’ve seen lots of similar milk glass items, especially the popular lidded hen-on-a-basket, but the lovebirds are not as common, especially in this lovely Jadeite color.

A lovely addition to any glass or Jadeite collection, this dish has no chips or cracks and is in beautiful condition!
